Foster for Bitten by a Kitten

While we strive to provide the best possible environment for our kittens at our rescue center, many would benefit from the extra love and attention of a foster home.

If you are interested, be sure that your home meets the following criteria:

  1. All new intakes MUST be quarantined for 14 days.
  2. All foster homes must have separate space for the foster kittens.
  3. Any interaction with household pets needs to be supervised until assured that the two parties can interact appropriately.
  4. All vet visits including emergency vet visits must be authorized first by the Director.

Other requirements for certain kittens

Bottle babies

  • Must have experience or have received hands-on training by the Director.
  • Must be able to provide feedings every 2-3 hours.
  • Must keep the kitten away from other pets until old enough to properly interact (6 wks under supervision and 2 months w/o supervision).

Special needs kittens

  • Must have experience or be willing to be trained hands-on in order to properly care for the kitten.
  • All veterinary concerns, physical therapy concerns, etc. must be discussed with the Director before any final decision is made.
